KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets up, adjusts, checks out programming and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specification requiring a considerable skill, a general knowledge of machining techniques and methods and familiarity with numerical machine tool operational procedures.

Works from programming, operational data and set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, fixturing material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings, for operations such as bore mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring. May provide guidance on machines or help clarify issues for machinists’ of a lower classification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Possess excellent interpersonal communication skill ability.

· Proven/demonstrated ability to work with others.

· Ability to follow directions, both verbally and written.

· All other actions related to manufacturing a product as needed/directed/required.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School degree, Vo-Tech School CNC/Machining training

· 2 to 3 years comparable experience.
