Jockey is seeking a Manager of Tech Design, Innerwear, to join our Design team!

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Tech Design, Innerwear, will lead the technical design process for the Innerwear category. This role will collaborate with design, product development, and production teams to ensure technical design requirements for innerwear are met and product development timelines are followed.

This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Analyze fit and measurement data specific to innerwear by conducting fit sessions and providing recommendations for improvements to achieve desired fit, comfort, and support.
• Review prototypes and samples of innerwear garments to evaluate accuracy in construction, measurements, and overall technical design specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical design challenges specific to innerwear such as pattern corrections, construction issues, and/or fabric suitability for comfort and support.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure the final innerwear products meet the required specifications and standards.
• Develop and maintain accurate and detailed technical design specifications for innerwear products while keeping a keen eye on the latest market technologies.
• Ensure innerwear garments meet the brand’s fit, comfort, and support standards through proper measurement and fit evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product development, and production, to communicate technical design requirements and resolve issues specific to innerwear.
• Review and provide feedback on prototypes and samples of innerwear garments to ensure they meet the desired technical design standards.
• Work with off-site factories to achieve deliverables.
• Lead Innerwear Tech Design team, fostering a culture of curiosity, creativity, innovation, and excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of innerwear design experience with strong knowledge of pattern making, grading, and construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in technical design, product development, patterning or related field required.
• Solid understanding of the design process.
• Ability to manage team priorities, goals, and objectives.
• Proficient in garment construction, pattern-making, and technical design processes specific to innerwear.
• Strong knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software with the ability to create and modify technical sketches and specifications for innerwear garments.
• Comprehensive understanding of body measurements and fit standards.
• Ability to analyze and resolve fit issues specific to innerwear.
• Expertise in a variety of fabrics and materials, including their properties and suitability for specific garment construction.
• Understanding of the comfort and support requirements for different types of innerwear (such as bras, underwear, and shapewear).
• Detail oriented with strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Solid working knowledge of PLM system.
