Environmental Services Assistant Lead Job Duties:
Assists Housekeeping Manager and Coordinator in the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. Fills in for the Housekeeping Manager and Coordinator in their absence and performs duties of Utility Housekeepers when necessary. Moves furnishing and equipment and arrange rooms for meetings.
- Assist with auditing work assignments for their shift. Assist the Manager and Coordinator with training new and existing staff. Gives functional direction to the Housekeeping Technicians on projects and assignments as requested. Observes for: cleanliness, neatness, damage and needed repairs and reports it to the appropriate staff or enters it into MIS. Inspect areas within the hospital and outside the building utilizing Quality Assurance forms. Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of chemicals or supplies, and requests approval for ordering stock.
- Move furniture and other equipment; prepare set-ups for meetings; clean off-site and contracted areas of the hospital. Cleaning consists of: offices, halls, stairwells, stairs, elevators, diagnostic areas; and all their: furnishings, floors, walls, restroom facilities and floor cars.
- Moves and arranges tables and chairs for meetings or special functions. Moves heavy furniture and equipment for terminal cleaning.
Environmental Services Assistant Lead Minimum Requirements:
- High School or Equivalent (GED)
- 1 to 3 years
- Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions.
- One year of experience as a housekeeper, plus an above average performance rating.
Salary Range: $14.15-$21.00/hr (based on experience)
