  • POSITION PURPOSE

    • Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

    • Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant

  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Entry Level

  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.

    • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.

    • Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.

  • PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Physical Therapist.

    • Transfers patients as needed for therapy.

    • Performs patient/ family teaching.

    • Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning.

    • Provides documentation of patient treatment.

    • Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
