This position is located onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in Kenosha, WI.
Snap-on SecureCorp administers insurance and claims for Snap-on franchisees in the US and Canada. The Associate Programmer Analyst will support the SecureCorp team with departmental business applications and be the technical support/developer for those applications. This includes apps running on the Salesforce web platform, Microsoft Access databases, and Microsoft Power Platform. We are looking for a technically minded, self-starter who can drill down into issues and ideas to develop solutions, has the eagerness to learn new tools and eventually become a subject matter expert in our processes and tools, and can also communicate and work well with management, users, and other IT professionals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, peers, and the end users to define, customize, enhance, and implement business applications and processes
- Support the day-to-day operation of all applications
- Salesforce Development and Administration:
- Create and maintain low-code/no-code business automation such as Flows and Process Builders
- Implement Salesforce platform and app releases, including training and support
- Configure user IDs, roles, profiles, security, page layouts, reports, etc.
- Implement other third-party Salesforce apps and features that enhance user experience and productivity
- Microsoft Access:
- VBA development and support
- Create SQL queries and macros to extract Salesforce and LN data for business reports and analysis
- Microsoft Excel:
- Create VBA macros for users to simplify their report creation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Development experience in a previous role or formal education
- Previous experience in an IT support role is a plus
Skills
- Salesforce knowledge, use, administration, and development is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Experience with VBA, VB/VB.NET, Java, C#/C#.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python
- HTML, XML, CSS, and JSON knowledge is a plus
- Microsoft Access (tables, SQL queries, macros, and modules) or other relational databases (e.g. SQL Server)
- Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or Power BI
