CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Hands-on experience of precision CNC machining equipment and peripheral automation; maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and systems. Prior experience with FANUC robots and COBOT automation is a huge added plus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience troubleshooting FANUC controllers and identifying related failure modes for the purpose of repairing, and restarting CNC equipment.
• Effectively read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder and block logic.
• Repair and replace motors, amplifiers, transducers, servos and sensors.
• Perform skilled alignments of CNC spindles, turrets and tail stocks.
• Perform machine leveling and alignments on all equipment as required.
• Use machine tool manuals, technical documents along with internal and vendor resources to research machine issues for repair.
• Support electronic scheduled preventive maintenance by reading reports, performing job assignments and completing documents for closure.
• Perform work assignments with a sense of urgency with machine down conditions.
• In conjunction with production team, support continuous improvement with development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent recurring failure.
